in regards to the OV ... are there any updates as to where the %% sold is at? and the %% occupied? things have been VERY VERY quiet from Rennie in terms of this project as of late. As for a while there he was on every news cast and in every news paper talking about the project like it was the 2nd coming of christ. now .... not a peep. I would love to see where we are at
He was on the news this morning, can't remember the exact figures but it was over 400 out the 700+ units sold, he did state they were over 60% of the way there. He also mentioned that since sales restarted ~160 units had been sold which worked out to one a day. He seemed happy with those numbers.

Same numbers were quoted by E&Y at a recent Village building's AGM.
man its going to get crowded very fast. can't wait. it going to be a good 4 to 5 years of steady construction down there unless the the economy tanks. if it does not tank it should slowly push up main st and we will have another amazing view coming down Kingsway then Main st.
Thanks for the steady stream of photo updates. It's nice to check in on these projects from afar.
James appears to be topped out and it's a nice fit in the massing pattern of 1st Avenue. I'm not especially wild about how similar the buildings all look due to their window wall glazing systems and neutral colour pallet for the paint and aluminum spandrels. Still, I am enthusiastic to see how this first completed non-Olympic Village part of the SEFC neighbourhood will look in a couple years when the landscaping has taken and the street trees begin to move into their adolescent stage from their present juvenile sapling stage.
That Terra Breads Cafe is quite busy today. Good sign. They're licensed as well.
They need a grocery retailer like price smart foods or buy low that would make it more alive. Hope they don't put in a overpriced yuppy supermarket like Urban Fare or Whole Paycheck...I mean Whole foods.

yah too bad - but they aren't too bad - with the card it makes it more reasonable to shop there and i have noticed they have a little less uppity overpriced food than when they first opened - its a little more reasonable
The Terra is pretty good. Added a lot of life to the village. Adding the Dry Cleaner / Cobbler / Key Cutter this fall and Urban Fare & London Drugs in the Spring followed by Your Village Kitchen next summer... along with the new Village Docks... such a fantastic hood!
{Hopefully London Drugs will open a bit earlier... but we'll have to see...}
