Perhaps Harvard has a backup plan for Tower IV, in case they can't build next to Tower I. But it can't be across Hamilton, because there's already a high-rise there. Perhaps around the corner on Hamilton?

Oh man, if they did that, it would mean that two thirds of the street level retail would be gone/lost on that street. The first third that was lost also included 12 ave. I wonder if we should put in temp strip malls in some of these gravel parking lots until bigger buildings can be built. Pretty much anytime I go downtown is to go to the mall. Also that mall needs to badly expand some how either up or tear down the parkade and rebuild it across the street while they expand.

I wouldn't put much into the speculation and rumors of others on this forum. It occurs more often than not.

I believe they are referring to the second FCC tower that has been in the works for years.

Also, there shouldn't be any concern regarding the loss of retail space along 12th and Hamilton. In this area of the downtown it is required and you will see it in all new developments, including Tower III.

Personally I would put an URBAN ONE (no parking lot) where the old Bus Depot was as that builing is a horrible eye sore.

Owned by Sask Power now! Likely will be redeveloped should they have an expansion of their downtown workforce.

I would rather see them redevelop their big — parking lot first.

This might be one of the very few times where I would actually prefer them to bulldoze that building and develop it instead of the parking lot... it's an eyesore... I'm just glad it's no longer the face of the city for bus travellers...

They have reno'd it for offices and I hear it is actually nicer than their 50 year old H.O., so it won't be coming down any time soon.

Hmm... I wasn't aware of that. Did they redo the exterior a bit? I haven't been out that way in a while.

I also have a general question... I've been thinking about it recently and I can't remember where I saw it. There was an old map/master plan for Regina that I saw; I think it was on this site... anyway, it was much more European in street design... but I can't seem to find it anywhere... I'm wondering if anyone remembers where it was or if they have it... I would love to get a copy of it.

Well, back in '85, there was a Downtown Master Plan called 'Rennaisance Regina', which included a redevelopment of the CBD and the CP Rail yards. Maybe that's what you remembered.
