coloRADo.

My home and why I love it. I'll (probably) keep updating this. In this first post, all the photos are from the 4th of July weekend to now, all taken with my phone. I know that this is a forum about urban developments and things of that nature, but perhaps this thread will help to serve a nice reminder that we really can't do anything nearly as spectacular as mother nature can. The world in which we live is an amazing place, go out and enjoy it!

Yeah. Track bar was loose. Not good, but a quick and easy fix.

Can see what was making that rattle, I broke the bump stop clean off (it's sitting inside the spring).

Breakfast of champions.

That's a steak. You don't see any silverware because we were eating our steaks with our hands. Don't need no knife or fork!

For reference, that's my size 13 footprint in the snow, at the base, to use for scale.

Average sunset.

Hoosier Pass.

The Flatirons.

Jefferson Lake, about 10,000ft above sea level.

Watching the sky turn colors near Grant.

Yup. Still snow, even in mid July.

Jefferson Lake again and more snow, which was also along the lake.

Rock formation near Sedalia.

Still a good amount of the white stuff.

You aren't having fun unless the mud gets IN your truck.

Sunset near Grant.

The South Platte. The rivers have been INSANE this year.

More snow.

It'll look better next time when I take the quick disconnects off the control arm...

The woods.

Givin the truck a bath.

A view of South Park as you come down from the mountains. This road dropped in to the town of Jefferson.

At a campsite.

Pike National Forest sunset.

The trail down to the main road and Grant.

Too bad none of the sunset shots look anything near as good as they do in
reality.

At the campsite.

Is it a forest fire??

Darkness falls.

I take a lot of pictures of the sky. It's always doing interesting stuff.

Picked a friend up at DIA and this was the sunset driving back in to town.

The back side of Keystone, I think.

More from Pike.

Poser rock.

Again with the sky...

Lake Jefferson.

Gregory Canyon, near Boulder.

Clouds.

At Hoosier Pass. Too bad the buck had just moved out of shot.

...

A busy trail near Boulder. This is the Flagstaff trail.

Pike sunset.

Again.

This is where I took a crap one morning.

More from Boulder Mountain Park.

South Platte CRANKIN! Wish I had a kayak.

Mid July snow.

Oh look another one.

Flatirons.

Red clouds.

Seriously, that's a good amount of snow. Deeper than most places get in a year, still.

Crazy lookin tree.

To give it scale.

Washing off the truck again.

Lake Jefferson.

Downtown Denver sunset.

Nice! Looks like a lot of fun. I miss playing in the Rocky Mountains in the summer and winter. Will likely be going to Aspen this winter.
