[sorry to get off topic for a second and I wont let it happen again, but wouldn't you love it if Bin Laden could just see this somehow right now? IF somehow we could bring him back to life for a few minutes, just to let him see everything, once the new wtc is built.

Sure, they should be happy to keep working without contracts.

About 200 laborers stood down from their jobs for a second day Tuesday at the World Trade Center site, although the owner
said the work stoppage had a minimal impact on the site's transit hub and signature skyscraper, and no impact on the memorial.

No, the construction workers shouldn't be forced to take drastic pay cuts, but this IS the WTC site for Christ's Sake!

I gotta give it to you, this isnt as easy as it looks. Perspective drawing can be one of the hardest lessons any artist will ever learn.

Plenty of people are happy to get paid for their worth to their employer and ability to do the job, and not for their ability to blackmail the people who hire them.

^ Love that view. It will become as rare a view as the original complex was before the WFC was built.

dayum straight this thing is making its mark on the skyline ^^^
the more i look at it, this thing is really bringing back memories... on how the twins dominated the skyline and how massive they were. now, the skyline is coming back!... looking more futuristic/render-esque than ever!

The World Trade Center.... RISES!

Hunser, thank you but i have not yet figured out the correct way to post a pic or pics in a thread. I got it to post but too small and this morning i guess i went backwards and the link showed up. I am dying to share my NY weekend pics but i am a bit pathetic in figuring this out. I have a lot of great ones taken from Jersey City last saturday too.

I have seen all of the great shots all of you have posted and want to finally contribute something here and i have some good ones.

Damn I'm super excited! Just booked 4 nights at the W New York Downtown, which is directly next to the World Trade Center!

It's not until late May 2012...anyone know if the tower will be topped off by then? I'm excited that the memorial will be open by then too.

I think it's pretty safe to assume the tower will be topped off by that time, and the cladding should be pretty close to topping out around that time as well
