Funny thing about Toronto is, the roads are all rucked up, and people drive their half-million, and million dollar car on them. That's so Toronto, so Ghetto Rich.

The party has started in Yorkville getting a nice construction and Lifestyle update for the top 10 constructors. But gotta media pass for the Indy all weekend, and edit the photos.

For now ( how does the guy driving the caravan feel right now?)

I'm a sucker for Ferrari's. What are the 3 in your 2nd pic? F430 Spyder at the top, F50 in the middle, 458 Italia at the bottom?

Love the Rolls in the first pic too.

Few things make me jealous & green with envy. Cars certainly do it.

Edit - Can't figure out the top one. Definitely not a F40. Want to say F430 Spyder.

Well Direct Energy Centre is built so I would guess between 1999 and 2002.

The farm, when fully opera-t ional will be the second-largest photovoltaic site in North America, powering 22,000 homes, and the third-largest in the world.
Starwood Energy, which acquired the project from Pod Generating Group about a year ago, has 20 MW operational in the rural west end since October, and another 30 MW under construction in the eastern part of town, which it expects to bring online within a few months.

Late last month, Starwood announced financing had been arranged for Phase 3, a further 10 MW, to be constructed in the vicinity of Phase 2, with expectations of going operational this year.

"The (financial) closing rep-re sents the culmination of more than two years of development work on the three Sault Ste. Marie projects during challenging economic conditions," said Bradford Nordholm, CEO of Starwood, in a release.

Capital cost of the three-phase development has never been confirmed, but nearly four years ago, when the project was first announced, Pod Generating estimated development costs in excess of $300 million.

Phase 1 went up on Base Line Road, at Leigh's Bay Road and Carpin Beach Road, while Phase 2 is along Black Road, between Second Line and Third Line.

Looks good. What will the place be used for once work is done?

I remember a condo proposal for the building from a few years back. Guess that isn't happening?

Definitely glad that the condo proposal was scrapped. I can't think of a worse and disrespectful use of an original six arena, and landmark for hockey/sports entertainment history. The plan now is renovation of the building for a new Loblaws store and rink/athletic facilities for Ryerson University. This current proposal doesn't exactly thrill, but it keeps the (formerly vacant) building tenanted for good use.
