They'll have to update their sign on the site, I believe it says occupancy summer 2011. Unless they are really fast!

The paint job they gave it in the 90s kind of looks out of place. It doesn't fit, especially with the late 60s signage still up top.

This is an old postcard available on eBay with the original look, prior to the 90's paintjob. The indoor pool is now a meeting room. I believe the bottom right picture is the old country bar (Esmeralda's?) that was replaced by Lauderdales in the 80's.

Installing the big lights at City Square plaza this morning They definitely have an interesting angle to them.

The office building on Albert and 11th has taken out a building permit so it is definitely a go very soon. It will be nice to see another vacant lot disappear from downtown. I am pretty sure this is staying at 4 floors. The type of construction they are using does not lend itself to higher structures.

That's good news and should improve the look of that section of Albert street, now if only they could do something with the building just north of it, which is an eyesore!

I noticed the building one block east has scafolding going up around it, does anyone know what's going on there? It's that small office building that has a real 60's or 70's style to it. I wonder if the exterior is getting a face lift.
