This is the new restaurant space next to Atlantis on Hamilton. It is a much larger space than I expected. This will definitely add to the street level appeal of Hamilton St.
I'm thrilled at there being another restaurant going in downtown. Hamilton has always been a kind of dead block in comparison to Scarth. With the new tower and a new restaurant going in that should certainly change things.

This morning they are planting the trees in the "rooms" on the south side of City Square Plaza. They can be seen next to the light sabre benches in this render. The species (ash) appears to be correct although they are somewhat shorter (as they always are).

Anyone know what is schduled for the NE corner of Scarth and 15th? There used to be a little restaurant there called Jestures - owners said the lease wouldn't be renewed because a condo was going up. In 2010 the lot was leveled - and now sits empty.

If I remember correctly, it was a 3-4 storey condo building that was supposed to go there... sort of an infill type development. It's not a big project, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't have gone ahead by now. I think it was mentioned in the Regina Construction I thread... but I have no idea where.

Elm? tree on east end of Plaza. I will bring my good camera this week and also get some shots of the paving stones. They have applied a sealer and they look fantastic.
On odd observation, I haven't seen a tile/paver saw in any images. And by looking at the images, there are a ton of cuts required especially in the diamond pattern edges.
Are these being cut somewhere else and delivered ready to set? Or are the saws just always hiding from the photographers?

I believe they have custom manufactured angled, half-blocks. Otherwise they would be cutting all day long.
