Was the front of the post office not a fenced off zone? How did a car get there?

More fires, Granville is shut down, more cars being turned over. It's escalating.

thats what i wondered too - i was down there and there were no cars - they could be related to the food trucks?

the fence was up at 2 pm - by 4 pm the fence entrance off georgia street was gone just too many people so they took it down

the crowd are throwing things at the police right now

Lots of ground-level footage being shown at the CTV stream
It's loud, and the police are cornered like monkeys in a cage

So this is the police preparation that we have been hearing about for weeks?

The police strategy appears to be incomprehensible.

Police control seems failing, they can't manage to push the crowd back and the crowds themselves are pushing the police back.
I wonder if they're going to unleash the tear gas. I saw a few policemen with tanks on their backs.

Mostly young adults taking action here, drunk..... none high schoolers
I could've sworn I heard a few gunshots on video

A lot of these people aren't really doing much to add to the violence

Parkade on Richards St on fire

Police say people have 10 minutes to get out of downtown Vancouver. Or they will use FORCE!

Congratulations to that idiot Gregor Robertson and his utter stupidity in blowing $2 million plus and encouraging yahoos from around the Lower Mainland to trash our city.

That flushing sound is his relection going down the drain, along with Vancouver's reputation.

Good - looks like also the majority of the families took off at the end of the 2nd period. Wise choice on their part.

Aw shit, I hope that doesn't mean tear gas. Then this'd be just as badly handled as the 94 riots.
Seriously, there are still families & children on these streets...
