I quite like the office buildings at Thanksgiving Point. They are nice Class A Office Buildings. Sure i'd rather see some 8-15 story buildings in downtown Provo , but these buildings aren't bad.
Eagle Mountain's first-of-its-kind business incubator launched with a splash on Tuesday.
The city council voted to accept four businesses for the program, which are hardly mom and pop wannabes. They include:
• SymBiotechs USA -- A prosthetic components company with a focus on helping amputees stay active in sports and other highly physical activities.
• Hiveit -- A new Internet shopping site.
• Impact Elevated -- An advertising and marketing company specializing in direct mail.
• Hoffman Consulting -- A business loan broker and consulting firm.
The Eagle Mountain business incubator program is unlike any other in the nation and does not cost the taxpayers anything, city officials said. Mayor Heather Jackson said the city is especially pleased to have already recruited a business to relocate from out of state, along with three local start-ups, noting that "the goal is to increase our tax base."...
Not sure if this has surfaced on here or not. but I thought I would post these on here. Also, Some of these are older projcets, I'm pretty sure that most of these were "pipe dreams" and may never be built.
I don't have a problem if either of these two projects happened, IF they were built around FrontRunner, or actually "Oriented" to FrontRunner. If FrontRunner were to run on the east or west side or right through the middle of the Springville project it would be perfect. Unfortunately, the FrontRunner corridor from Provo to Payson runs on the east side of I-15 from Provo to Spanish Fork Main St/US 6 area. When it return to the west side of I-15.
As shown in the link the article is from 2004, so I am guessing when something does happen on the property it will probably look substantially different.
Between now and fall, Thanksgiving Point’s movie theater will go from being the smallest to one of the largest — and most modern — of the Larry H. Miller Group’s theaters.
The Miller group is quadrupling the size of the Megaplex 8 Theatre in Lehi, adding nine screens and a food court. The expansion will put it on par with Jordan Commons theater...

Has the Adobe Campus already broken ground? While driving on I-15 yesterday I notice there was a crane and alot of earth moving going on the Adobe Campus site.
I don't know if they had an official ceremony yet, but they have began some work on site.
IM Flash is planning a $1.5 billion expansion of its flash memory chip plant in Lehi, resulting in 200 new jobs, the Governer’s Office of Economic Development announced Monday.

That is fantastic news. Seems like Micron/IM Flash just keeps on growing. That Junction at Thanksgiving Point is going to become one incredible hub over the next ten years. Adobe, Micron, IM Flash, The NSA Center, and the list of commercial, educational, recreational, residential, transportation infrastructure just keeps on exploding. It's exciting to see it take place. I'm also looking forward to my future trek along the beautiful Timpanogos Parkway. I tend to get very enthusiastic about this area, because it is my neighborhood, where I grew up.
So I'm happy to report that there is a tower crane on the site of the future Abode campus. There are a total of three cranes including the tower crane. Look like work has already begun.

LINDON — When the ribbon's cut and people start legitimately biking, walking and riding their horses on the trail over the Provo Reservoir/Murdock Canal, no one will have a bigger grin on his face than Utah County Commissioner Larry Ellertson.
Lindon resident, horseman and former mayor of the north Utah County town, he's waited patiently and worked tirelessly for the trail since before 1995...
...Price expects the 15-foot wide, 17-mile long asphalt trail linking Lindon and Orem through to the Thanksgiving Point/Cabela's area will be finished as early as the fall of 2012 — three years sooner than first projected.
The $17.25 million, multi-use trail will be open to bikers, walkers and equestrian riders from 800 North in Orem through Lindon, Pleasant Grove, Cedar Hills, American Fork, Highland and Lehi, with six landscaped trailheads along the way...
