I wish it was that big, but I'd say the real one is about half an inch shorter to roof.

I agree, but the picture is awesome! You did a great job with the building. I would say that's probably around 1500 feet to the roof. Just a rough estimate by the way it looks. I love how it stands out though. I never really thought building it taller would make a difference. I think if it was to tall(like some of the enormous heights people have come on here, wishing how tall it had been, like 2000ft) it would look out of place. But It stands out and still blends in. great job!

yeah, the tallest of the world financial center buildings is over 700 ft, and to the roof that rendering is over twice as tall.
I wonder what that rendering will look like with 4 WTC? That might be the view we'll have for awhile until 2 and 3 WTC are finished.

It's also behind the WFC which will make it look even smaller from that angle, It looks 15-1600 feet tall there (although it's a great rendering, nice work)

One thing that I think may throw off just how big it looks are the angled edges. Or will it really angle that much?

Doing the best I could with my extremely limited Photoshop skills, I'm guessing it will look closer to this..

Working off the rendering that 599GTO did, I found a pic of the original towers from almost the exact same angle, then sized it to match the surrounding buildings. Given that the roof of the new tower will be within 10' of the original, this looks pretty close to the correct scale IMO.

And I agree, the renders make it look slim- but it's huge! Probably cause the height balances it out a lot, but at this stage it looks monstrous already.
I drove past 1wtc last night on my way to the battery tunnel, and I think the opposite. To me the renderings make the building look thicker. (it could be my eyes playing tricks on me) not complaining though!

Great Pics

Some great pictures of New York and the WTC. It's going to look even more amazing when it's all finished. 1WTC has lots more glass now and is well above 7WTC. It has a real look of importance about it in the photo shop

Those south to north shots really put in perspective how far this project has progressed. The spire on this thing will be the craziest one in Manhattan.
