I kind of like the Sturdy Stone as well, but to each his own. Doesn't even make Saskatoon's top 10 ugly in m view.

That Saskatoon building looks like it would fit perfectly on Star Trek, which means that it's awesome.

The ugliest building in Montreal (and there are quite a few here) is the ROGERS building on McGill College. I work in the Sun Life building on the 17th floor and the Rogers building is directly in my view. Looking at it from below, it doesn't seem to be that bad but seeing directly from the 17th floor and it's one major eyesore. It's literally like an elevated junkyard. Everything about it is ugly. The offices are clearly visible and they are mostly a mess and unkept; the color of the building makes it look like it's rusting. And it's right in the middle of downtown Montreal. You have to see it in person to believe how ugly it is.

And speaking of ROGERS, no one mentioned the ROGERS building in Toronto? I came across it by accident (while searching for photos of the Montreal building) and the thing is a staggering eyesore.

^ I still say Place Bonaventure wins for Montreal as the ugliest..

And yea that Rogers building in TO is pretty bad, but not as bad as the Montreal one. I actually don't mind it too much compared to One Yonge.

Well, count me as fan of Place Bonaventure. It's so unique in its design, inside and outside, that I love it. There's an actual attempt at something forward thinking about it that I admire. The spacing inside is amazing. The Rogers building on McGill College as zero architectural merit. It's just ugly.

An example of a building in Montreal influenced by Place Bonaventure but failed is the RBC building on Atwater and Tupper. I actually went inside that building once and it was dark and depressing. It looks like the top of a skyscraper and 90% of the rest is below ground.

Oh don't get me wrong, I love the concept behind Place Bonaventure, I think it's an incredible example of forward thinking and an attempted revolution in planning.. I just think it's ugly.

^The bulky, brick building. Note it's corresponding parking garage.

As well, St. John's city hall (the bunker, as it's known) isn't the most ascetically pleasing building in the city.

But they have painted the parkade's green "feature" railings brown now to blend in .

The top of Atlantic place was supposed to be a hotel lobby with 11 floors above it.
The hotel was originally to have been triangular and in white precast, and there was to be a rooftop cabaret on the 20th floor.
However, the design may later have been changed to a rectangular or L shape.

The city hall is brutalist, and a matter of opinion, it's worse now though because it needs cleaning.
