Boston is holding a general lottery for tickets, winners will get to purchase two lower bowl tickets for $950!
Of course, if you take advantage of Air Canada's current sale ($280 each way to Boston), it is cheaper to buy in, and fly to, Boston than buy 2 club seats in Vancouver.
I'll be in Mtl for the F1 so it's only a few hours drive to Boston, going to do my best to score some tickets. I know game 7 against Tamp there were tix for $175, quite the bargain compared to what they would've been here.
there are going to be a number of screens set up downtown - the CBC of course plus granville street and one other location - i missed where
Game #1 on Big LED Screen (Granville Street)
Tomorrow 5:00pm at Granville Street, Vancouver, British Columbia
Grab your friends and come out and watch Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoff on a big 16x12 foot LED screen. Game Time: 5:00pm Location: Granville St. (Between Robson and Georgia)
Pretty sure the Commodore has been showing the games as well, not sure they are showing all of them though.
Rogers Arena will be open for all away games, tickets are $10 with the proceeds going to charity.
Game #1 on Big LED Screen (Burnaby)
Tomorrow 5:00pm at Civic Square, Burnaby, BC
Grab your friends and come out and watch Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoff on a big 17x12 foot LED screen. Game Time: 5:00pm Location: Civic Square, Burnaby
yeah, that was a great game. I think the refs were a bit wonky after the 2nd, but a good game overall. My favourite part had to the end-to-end-to-end-to-end action in the 2nd. That, and the goal in the last minute
Question: is it actually legal to have mandatory bag checks on a public street? They had this at both the Granville and Hamilton screens. Seemed a bit much, to be honest. Not quite as bad as the freakin' metal detectors at the Yaletown LiveSite last year, but still kind of ridiculous.
