Very true. I tried giving photos of the Trillium construction for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day and she didn't seem happy for some reason

Yes, where else would we all go to get information on skyscrapers, stadiums, airports, etc.

I came across this interesting article about Skyscraperpage in the Globe and Mail (published in October 2008).I like this quote from Dylan LeBlanc ( source: Globe and Mail - story link )

"We're bit of an odd bunch," Dylan Leblanc tells me on the phone from Victoria. "A lot of people … say none of their friends cared. But then they find our site on the Internet, and it's like they found their people. They fit in. They belong with us."

I heard a radio spot for this development today... had a variety of people including the premier talking it up, and specifically mentioned the coming 33 story centerpiece. At this point I would be shocked if they did do it, as they are actively starting to market it.

It is too bad that the developers didn't spend a bit more money to put in larger windows. The small windows really look out of scale with the Horizon tower.

Considering that a big part of the reason why this project got such a glowing approval was that it would correct the overwhelming failure of the Dartmouth MPS's population projections for DT Dartmouth - I highly doubt that the iconic tower wouldn't go forward. If anything, I suspect there would be a significant discussion from the planning dept if it didn't go through.

The whole point of this project was that the Dartmouth MPS population projections for Downtown Dartmouth figured the population would be around 5000 (as I recall) and they were actually 10% of that (may 25% at the most). So they want more people there...
