2009 was the worst of the worst for me. I started the first week of the year on the operating room table and it went down hill from then, especially with the death of the only grandmother I ever knew (my paternal grandparents died before my parents even met).

Well it turns out whoever broke into my place is a dumbass. My CDs are still under my bed.

So they rummaged through all the empty drawers in every bedroom but didn't think to look under the beds where they would have found about $5000 worth of music.

^It still is aggravating when some trashbag is going through your stuff.
Another friend of mine had somebody rip out his air conditioner just to get the copper. They did plenty of damage to but they at least caught the guys.

On an almost monthly basis here, copper thieves almost get killed by stealing copper out of live electrical infrastructure.

'Round here, methheads are responsible for most of the copper thefts.

She still plans on visiting me here, and I will probably visit her next year sometime.

Insurance should cover most of what was taken from my house, so the only thing lost there is time spent replacing everything (especially if my CDs are gone, rockyi would know what that's like).

I'm pretty much out of money now, which is new for me, but I think I have a solid plan to make a fair bit next summer. I'll just have to be very thrifty over the next year, which I've never had a problem doing (other than travel, I don't really spend much).

So yeah, it seems like this rough patch won't really be all that rough after all. I probably don't have to worry about tornadoes (even though AB is technically a part of 'Tornado Alley'), and while my relationship with Raquel has changed, it is still there, and still a great one.
You should move to the US so that so many aspects of your life become unstable again that you start up a gourmet hot dog stand with shorter lines than hot dougs but in portland or seattle.

Hey I don't give me that "love it or leave it" shit, i'm going to drop my used up hybrid rustbelt/murder belt card again.

Man, when did meth hit the west. That sucks. I know it's a deal in the rural Pac NW.

Riverside and San Bernardino counties in California were at one point in time the meth capitals of the country (Maricopa County, Arizona has never been too far behind).

Its been out west long enough, especially in pissant isolated little towns and places like the Inland Empire and Phoenix (where its mostly boring suburbia as far as the eye can see). In a lot of these areas, what else is there to do for entertainment?

I thought meth was pretty big in Montana too. I know it's a bit of a problem in Alberta.
