so that means they're going to build the large building in the foreground:

All of those different roof segments would be perfect for some plant life aka living roofs.

They're still demolishing the old building. They've taken down almost all of the L-shaped wing from the very back. That's still less than 20% of the whole building though.

If the plan is still to split the second building into more than one phase, then I think they'll first build the wing that runs parallel to Mission. Otherwise, I'd think they would be taking down a lot more of the existing structure.

Too bad there isn't just one more phase in which they build the rest of the damn complex. Can't wait to see all that crap get torn down.

It's hard to tell from the rendering above, are there two or three buildings left to be built?

There are two in that rendering yet to build. But there's word that the second one (the bigger one in the foreground) will be built in two phases.

Any demo/construction updates here? I'd love to see a current photo of the demo site! Thanks

This is the development I'm most interested in in SF now. It's going to be massive. Can we get a current photo of this site please? Thank you.

If I remember right, the demo is stalled or not complete on the old building.

What do you mean it is stalled? Is there some legal hurdle that has arisen that is preventing the demo/ensuing construction from materializing or is Trinity having financial issues?

There really isn't any information out there on the second building that's being built here. I've done every internet search there is to do and I can't find anything. So, now I find myself turning to you, the people of the great city of San Francisco to help me find a photo, a piece of information, an anything significant about this piece of land which we call Trinity Place. What information do we have about the second building that's being built on that corner of Mission and 8th streets in San Francisco? Thank you for your input and all of us here on skyscraperpage forum are more knowledgeable and better informed every day thanks to you.

Last time I walked by, a few weeks ago, they were building a concrete block wall over the opening in this pic. Which leads to the obvious conclusion that they've done all the demo they plan for now.

This is probably the most mysterious project in the city right now.

It doesn't have to be a mystery if somebody in S.F. takes a current photo of it and posts it here with some info on the project.

I haven't been to the site to confirm this, but according to the SF Business Times (J.K. Dineen, June 24, 2011):

Quote:
In the Mid-Market, Angelo Sangiacomo’s Trinity Properties is aiming to start shoring and excavation July 15 on the second phase of Trinity Place, which will be 417 units.
According to the article, phase two is supposed to open in March 2013, followed thereafter by groundbreaking on the 540-unit third phase along Market. Prado has the whole text of that article on their website.

I'm glad to see construction will be resuming here. That is a plus for San Francisco

And now we can see that they have completed that and started excavation for the next building:

I walked by this site this morning and there was a lot of activity. Many workers, equipment etc. I am not sure what stage they are at but things are moving.
