City of Montreal, Montreal, CanadaScope of Work
Optimization study of the Chaboillez Square site for a 2.4 million sq. ft. real estate development.
Why in the name of god did the city of Montreal commission this 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 stupid report? the city can't even support the construction of a 25 storey office tower let alone 2.4 million sq. ft of new office space, it's becoming a never ending scam with this city with endless studies on the reconstruction of Notre Dame (on going for more than 20 years) building a new roof for that concrete toilet bowl in the east end, rebuilding the bonaventure expressway and on and on..... studies after studies report after report all costing taxpayers millions of dollars, and in the end not a 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 thing gets done. This is nothing more than organized crime with that bum Tremblay and the unions calling the shots

51 Sherbrooke Ouest will never get built : Notman House is protected.

Let's hope both the City and the provincial government will stop the project -if project there ever was !!

Am I confused or is Notman House the 2-story house which appears intact on the rendering MTLSkyline posted?
If so, why would the government interfere with development taking place behind the house?

Its too early to know for the Waldorf but Altoria will be 120m (3.2x25+4x10) - that is the maximum zoning for the lot and as far as I know there was no derogation request that made it to city council.

^Too bad about Altoria being only 120m...but I won't complain too much. I still remember the days when Montreal projects seldom went beyond the 27 storey mental barrier...anyone else remember that?

oh you're right. Probably got it from him.

Speaking of Gilbert...I'm assuming he abandoned this joint so is anybody here up to task to update this thread's first post? I looked at it and it's in dire need of updating...

why has everyone abandoned this site? Are people only interested in their local city? I miss the contributions of Serge, Habsfan, Elsonic, Bilo, etc. I guess they are all over at Mtlurb. I don't miss the thin-skinned hectoring malek.

I don't think Serge or Elsonic are on mtlurb (or if they are its very rarely). One thing I have noticed on mtlurb is that there is very little photography and pretty much everything ends in political bickering.

LOL, glad that I'm not the only guy here who can't stand Malek...

Wow, an old photo but definitely an excellent one. The 400 Sherbrooke Ouest also helps fill in that gap near the Marriott is in as well.

that's a bit of a disappointment I guess the building will have a much bigger impact viewed from Mt. Royal, what will have a major impact from this point of view will be the Cadillac Fairview project especially the two 44 floor towers...care to give it a go Calmar?
