I'm going to Santa Barbara next week, so expect glorious warm sunshine in Vancouver and record rainfall in SoCal if my travelling record stays consistent.

No snow in Maple Ridge, just the odd shower here and there, i really doubt there was any snow in Van as well.

But that is just ridiculous, it shows how terrible this spring has been so far. April temps and conditions have been more akin to mid February than April. Even the last few sunny days we had were much more akin to a nice day at the end of February, not a nice day in mid April.

As i posted on the canada section Kamloops is on track to have its coldest April since 1972 currently!

And this is their second major show storm this month, and later this week has another possible snow event forecasted.

Unfortunately there's a lot of stupid kids these days who seem to wear shorts in totally inappropriate weather. It was 4C in Richmond today, hardly shorts weather.

the funny thing is the exact opposite urks me as well, such as when we have a late heat wave at the end of September or early October where temps reach up to 25 to 28 (with a mild morning as well), and yet everyone seems dressed for mid winter with huge heavy coats and scarfs.

Bottom line is, sheep dress for the calender, intelligent humans dress for the weather

It was indeed snowing in Vancouver today, I was driving in it. Nothing stuck but the temps are pretty cool right now so it makes sense.

Quelle différence !

Due, I would think, to the cold Nina winter you've been having in Vancouver, I notice in pictures that many larger tress are still without leaves! .... even if the blossoms are out.

Here, after the warmest April in 50 years, all trees in in full summer green, although normal spring flowers are still evident.
