Yeah, I agree. Let's get back on topic on the construction progress.

Who has pics of the latest construction? The EarthCam has been showing a night scene for about 2 weeks now, and many of us are anxious to see the progress that has been completed in that timeframe.

The only pics I've seen from that end seem to suggest something dire in terms of construction going backwards, although my perception had been that it had made a lot of progress more in terms of solidifying structural support. I suppose the EarthCam has just been more focused on the other towers.

Looks like they are extending the height of the foundation with those vertical steel reinforcement rods. And what is that on the lower left hand corner of the picture? Seems like a decking portion for the sub-floors.

Tower 2 at B3, B1 and ground levels. Note how the columns on the west side, the ones straddling the service road, arch and merge together at ground level.

So if I'm correct, those "straddling" steel columns form a letter "A" shape underground, right, with the tip of the "A" at ground level.

So in order for that service road to be built, a "bent" at the 2WTC foundation needs to be made in order for it to fit below the WTC site.

Isn't it time for someone to fix that 1,429 foot statistic?

Or is the point to keep slamming people that ask about it?

Well apparently no one actually knows the final height, the official site recently changed the data from 1270 feet plus an 80 foot spire with 78 floors to 1349 feet with an 80 foot spire and 88 floors. I think we should wait until more information is given.

If they can't find enough tenants in order to finish this building perhaps they could look into putting a hotel on the upper floors and turning it mixed-use? The highest hotel in NYC would be quite an attraction I would think.

This is the star of the show IMO. It is a shame that it is going to be the last one to go up and the most uncertain.

I don't think "Final Height: zero feet" would go over well with most people.

I kid, I kid. Is the plan for 200 and 175 to stop at ground level for the time being or are they still going up all the way?

The most recent update is that they've found tower 2 will be cheaper than tower 3, so they are going ahead, however tower 3 is still stuck under the PA agreement from 2010,

It will be built, it just isn't going to be built immediately. Still plenty of underground work to keep them busy though.

I don't believe this, not even for a split second.
