Except Tokyo would go on like that for many miles in every direction. It's a decent angle for Toronto, but there's a huge drop off in height north of the CBD. AURA, Four Seasons, One Bloor, and some of the new proposals should start to counter that.

I hope to have a view like that later on in life living in downtown Toronto. Approximately how much is it to live in a highrise downtown Toronto?

Great shots. the different glass on the top of EAP is very noticeable from above. We really need more colour in our buildings downtown, they look so grey and dull on cloudy winter days. The Bow looks fantastic from the NE side now that the glazing goes all the way up.

Stupid Vancouver with their green grass!

Thanks! Trust me though, Calgary is not the only city that could use some colour in it's downtown. Every single residential tower in London looks like a big grey slab. Although, like Calgary, we have a beautiful glass office tower as our tallest.

There are no words to describe how happy I was that my plane took off with that phenominal view of downtown Calgary! And then to top it off I got a clear view of the Rockies for a while. Someday I'll have to come back there to see them both on land!

Downtown Vancouver on a lovely spring evening | March 23rd 2011

A slice of Vancouver's downtown as seen from Broadway-City Hall station.

Taken by SFUVancouver, March 23rd, 2011.

Great Calgary shots. Very cool to see the WLRT line snake its way out of downtown. The Bow is just so huge. I laughed out loud when I noticed how small the Fairmont is by comparison, which is where I stayed a few weeks back.
