i looks much cleaner. wish they woud do somthing about the top. that stuff looks like a mess. i love this big ol building regardless.

Yes, some Sears/Willis Tower like cockroach antenna would be nice.

It would clean it up for sure, and still serve its purpose.

^ Wow, it's amazing how those 2 pics emphasize how dirty the old marble looks and how clean the new glass looks..

Though I don't care how smog-ified the marble is, I wish they were selling panels of it, I think it would make an excellent table or countertop.

It truly is like getting a total brand new tower.

Well, we will never see Marble go onto the exterior of a tower in this city again in our lifetimes.

I heard they were donating many of the marble pieces to local sculptures so Torontonians will be able to see the marble in a different form for years to come.

I don't think so. It is now covered in glass, which is pretty easy to clean. Look at Coimmerce Court, Royal Bank Plaza, and Scotia Plaza all of which are 25 years old or older. Commerce Court is 40 years old.. and still looks almost brand new.

Actually, I was thinking Commerce Court was next in line for a facade refurbishment. The stainless has lost all of its lustre. TD Centre is sun bleached as well but looks better than Commerce Court.

When I was in downtown on Tuesday they looked to be working on floors 52-55.
I got a picture but since the clouds were so low, you can't see that much.

I LOVE the new look of this tower.
