I have removed one crane from The Bow, apparently it is coming down right now.

Calgary South Hospital

I'm almost sure that when I drove past it this morning the Calgary South Hospital was less one crane, but it was quite foggy so maybe I was on crack. I'll double check when I go home tonight.

Yes, it was the east Favco that came down.

Ramsayfarian says the Atlantic Avenue art block crane is coming down right now. I have updated the list.

*Stupid Question Alert*

How do they bring down the last crane? I would think the components breakdown to quite manageable sizes...

Considering we are supposed to be in a bust cycle, 28 cranes is pretty damned good.

Yes please. I'm guessing they'd use a more manageable boom to lower the last one down...

Or it may be something a bit extreme like...

We've talked about this a bunch of times, a small temporary crane will be set up to take apart the yellow Potain crane. Once that is complete the temporary crane can be taken apart up top and brought down in the elevators.

No helicopter lift.

Ahhh.

Last question... Does it come down on the construction elevators, or the regular? It would be cool to watch them coming down by Heli, though.

I think the pieces could be brought down in either elevator, but I believe usually a crane on the building will help remove the construction elevator pieces, so I think it will come down in the building elevators after that.
