I plan on finding an excuse for getting off at each station, just to get a good look at them. Half the stations have places I would travel to anyways near them.

Martindale and Saddletowne stations are 95% structurally complete. Mostly just the little details to complete.

Temporary bridge with wood deck over West LRT trench

First substantially completed substation

Large pieces of ornamental bridge work - possibly storage for the bridge at 24th St, or maybe accents on the Sarcee bridge

I wonder if the townhomes' property values have gone up with the LRT being so close by (albeit the view is now a parkade instead of a field). If the value of the properties have actually decreased due to the view, I wonder if the owners have any recourse to try and get compensation from their not very truthful real estate agents!

How can those condo owners not have any sort of due diligence? Taking the selling agents word at face value? When they started selling those condo's they were in the $600k range even when the bottom fell out in 2008. That is a lot of money to not take those types of things into account.

My in-laws live 2 blocks behind those condo's, they have been in that home for 4-5 years now and were aware of the LRT alignment from the first day they purchased the land from Quinn Corp.

Anyone who bought those condos thinking it would be a field forever are idiots. Certainly, the smallest bit of research would have shown otherwise. I am also pretty sure that those condos don't have individual elevators for each unit. I know the ones down off 5th st. SW have elevators. They are beauties!

They indeed do - at least the sales documents from when my folks were thinking of buying one reflected that fact. The unit on MLS lists that it has its own elevator.

Yeah some of the units do, but last time I toured through, not all of them do.

Drove by Sirocco Station this morning and there was a flatbed truck with one of those ribs. Should be going up soon.

Going that direction on Bow Trail, the banner would probably say "If you had taken the C-Train, you would be at work by now.". Doesn't quite resonate the same with me....

Just a different perspective for those that have not been down Bow Trail recently, but it has now cross Bow and beginning the final descent...
