I don't think Toronto has anything to complain about regarding skyscraper construction.

Will be my own job now

The skyline is sparse, that is true, but he's also on the top of a hill. And there's some others buildings just down of the hill face to this skyline in the St-Roch borough. St-foy is getting some new buildings recently too... but it is quite not easy to take 1 picture with this part of the skyline and Ste-foy.

Define tall? Tall is the last word I'd use to describe QC.

The higher building of Quebec city is 126m and 31 storeys... Not bad... also higher of eastern canada ( east of montreal )
I know that the definition of what is tall can be different for each person. Personally, up to 100m, I start to call this tall. Any cities who will get a new 100m building is something to show as a good mention I think

This was taken from my balcony during a rain storm the other day and some sun appeared as it was winding down:

Has a Los Angeles look/feel to it- seen several movie scenes of LA from a similar angle. Beautiful.

Mississauga and Toronto have not reached halfway to their full skyline potential for the next 5 years. These 5 years moving forward will probably be more exciting skylinewise in Mississauga moreso than Toronto. Considering the smaller base they are working with, and the existing buildings in Toronto.

I forgot that shoot by me from the last summer.

It is probably one of the best view of the Skyline ( except Ste-foy that you can't see from there )

Exactly

The CN Tower needs to dominate the skyline

IMO It would take away from the aesthetics of the skyline and take away the focal point of the skyline which is the CN tower

It doesn't have to be 2000 ft tall..
I think a 1100 footer or even a 1200 footer would look fantastic and not take away the attention from the CN. It also depends on how interesting the architecture is. I doubt a 1100 ft glass box would command attention.

You could stick a 1500 footer at Yonge and Bloor and it's wouldn't detract from the CN Tower at all.

But then it wouldn't be in the skyline shots from the lake..

Thats a terrible pic, the ridge on the other side of the Don Valley makes everything look so short and stumpy... not to mention the overwhelming grey.

3 things will make that picture look better.

1. Better Weather
2. Four Seasons, topped out and fully clad
3. One Bloor !

That pic kinda reminds me of Edmonton with the river valley. The buildings are of a similar scale as well.
