Canadian Pacific Announces new Intermodal Facility

Canadian Pacific announced a new terminal on their website recently, I would like to know if it is any coincedence with CN's new 'logistics park' in Calgary.

The current Terminal is located on 39th street, & is also on the site where the Province purchased land for the HSR. I would say this is a step foward in getting the HSR running in Alberta.

The present facility is more or less useless, the primary question had been should they move it to Irvine Yards or build it in Leduc County. This is going to be built just about 100 feet inside of Edmonton proper.

Which makes the future of Irvine Yards and interesting subject since the Strathcona Junction plan was based on the assumption Irvine and CPR West would remain in operation.
