Hey steveve, I always knew you were gonna be a great and inspirational figure in the skyscraper community in Canada. You will put loving skyscrapers on the map, and we should draw alot more new members due to the stories, about your hobby.

Taking pictures is one thing.... building a cardboard city is another.

Long time ago I use to spend a hours trying to make rudimentary models of the city. One time out of snow, then another out of about of 100$ worth of lose change. In the end closest I ever came to making a half decent model of the city was on SC4

Effort is one thing but when you combine it with natural talent, you get whats probably the most accurate model of city ever made. Thats what I'd call epic.

Too bad you've run out of room. Im sure someone would be willing to donate a larger table for ya but i'm sure ur folks wouldn't be too keen on the idea lol.

i'll try expanding it just a little bit further (to the lake) by adding a sheet of wood on the table. then i think i'll be able to do the waterfront

(and possibly a bit west to finish up the rogers centre).

Building cityplace would be insanely sick, but i gotta finish this first.

When I was your age I too made a model city out of paper, although mine was a fictional city inspired by several of my favourite big skyscraper cities of the time (including Toronto of course). I still have it, it's currently packed up in a box in the closet.

That's Awesome - well done Steveve.

Having done a similar model on a much smaller scale I can appreciate the time and effort you've put into this. Ahh but it's not work when it's your passion.

It will be great to see the model updated as new proposals come out (which seems like a daily occurance in Toronto these days).

Yorkville, rich like Ginza! And tall like Singapore.

3 Towers over 200 meters, we have a mini (well maybe not so mini) Trio of 200 meter plus towers, just like Singapore, where their 3 tallest towers are just 280 meters. Here in Yorkville our 3 tallest Towers will be 240 meters, 220 meters, and 205 meters. A mini Singapore indeed, except way richer, rich like Ginza.
