The podium of the current design is much better than the podium of the Crystal design. The Crystal design had a flat facade because of the above-grade mechanized parking in the podium. This design has no above-grade parking (they demolished the ballroom (to be reconstructed) and put parking under it).

Precast refers to the pre-cast concrete exterior panelling - the brown/beige parts.

Pics by me today:

Not much different on this side. Lots of glass on those middle floors waiting to be installed...

Glass canopies installed on the roof - could have been why the cranes were there last week:

Two hot tubs and patio areas.
They had tents up to insulate the hot tubs while they finsihed them - the tents recently came down and I think they are covered by plywood right now.

Thanks.

Looks like a bit of a dog's breakfast around that balcony door.

The blue panels are called "spandrel panels" - it's part of the design (and likely cheaper).

Spandrel is typically a design or aesthetic consideration, typically to deal with the slab.

Understatedly elegant has been going through my mind, too, as a way to describe this tower. A great addition to downtown in design and colour harmonizarion with the neighbouring buildings
