Ha just looked it up on Google Maps. It isn't right on the waterfront but it isn't as far from the water as the picture makes it seem.

See? In that picture it looks like it's across the city. (To anyone who doesn't know the path of the St. Lawrence very well)

Probably because you've seen shots of it from Longueuil or the Jacques-Cartier something. http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8...P7zhkMmXp9SXA93Xg&cbp=13,288.38,,1,-0.99

Poor Calgary Tower

There was a time when it was the undisputed king of the skyline

^ All skyline kings need to lose the title eventually..

The Royal York was once the king of the Toronto skyline..

Some keep it (CN Tower), some lose it, and some lose it, then take it back 30 years later (Empire State Building.. too soon?).

That does make it look better. Would you mind still citing me as the original photographer? It feels odd reminding the forum manager to do so.

Yeah, he seem to do that "auto levels" all the time without authority or citing credit.

^nice. It seems like the skyline is exactly the same as it was back when I first visited QC in the early 1970s
