They should just change it to "101", then they don't have to take anything down...

A buddy of mine (whom is one of the tower crane operator) stated that ANOTHER tower crane will be erected at the RCMP Training Academy within the next 1-2 months.

Pictures

Here are some nighttime shots of the New Harvard Tower. Funny story... I kind of sneaked into the site, not noticing a security guard in his car, right beside where I was taking the pictures. He was old and didn't notice me for a bit, until my flash accidentally went off. All he said was 'you aren't supposed to be here'. So I left and climbed on my car to get a few more. Enjoy.

And a train just for my sake..

Thanks for those pics man! I really can't believe that we have high-rise construction happening in our city again! I am 22 and this is the first one. And now I am moving to Saskatoon for work! Why when all this oh well, maybe my work as an Architectural Tech will see me working on some of these projects!

Btw nice train picture.

Southland Mall has zoning signs up at the Rae & Gordon and Albert St entrances. The sign says "increase square footage" the reference number is 10-Z-21. I couldn't find anything on the City's webpage, though. Is this just related to the Zellers renos? Or something else?

Yeah, I would think it would be Zellers (that would be what makes sense at least)... Maybe Target is always getting involved and saying that if renos are to happen, they want a bigger space in the future?

If you call the city they will give you all the details. I am not sure why they don't put them on their website right away. They have a page for this but it is rarely updated.

^^Take a look at this...there are plans to add a couple 'pad' stores - maybe the re-zoning would have to do with that?

I think Bulk Barn is going in at Grasslands, so it wouldn't be that.

Also, the linked document says Zellers is going to be 98,000 sq ft. Unless I'm mistaken, that's smaller than Walmart was.

According to Reed Construction Data, the proposed retail-hotel development on Pasqua St. N. will cost $120 million to construct.

proposed construction of a retail commercial development. The project will include construction of a 70,000 sq ft big box retail location; two 4,000 sq ft, 250-seat restaurant buildings; a budget-style hotel with approximately 100 rooms; a gas bar combined with a 2,800 sq ft convenience store; and one 21,600 sq ft Commercial Retail Unit (CRU) building. Access to the site is proposed from the northwest via Hwy 11.
