If Blanco is added, Austin and San Antonio's metros would touch, since Blanco County borders Comal County, which is part of San Antonio's metro.

Our metros already touch because Hays borders Comal too.

Oh, duh. haha Still, though, Southern Blanco County is closer to San Antonio than Hays County is.

As of 2009 Austin had a poulation of 786,382 19.8% from the 2000 census which was 656,562 thats (129,820) more people between (2000- 2009) an to divide that by 9 (9yrs) would be 14,424 more people moving to Austin every year on an average basis so to put our population into perspective today we would use 14,424 (yr) x2 (2yrs) which would equal 28,848 + 786,382= 815,230 as of July, 2011 this is the formula that I use to solve problems, but nothings always accurate.

Yep.... at least along 35, the Hays-Comal county line is approximately the halfway point between Austin and SA.

If Blanco joins us, it also borders SA metro's Kendall County (Boerne) to the SW. Additionally, Hays and Comal Counties border Guadalupe county (Seguin) to the S.

I guess we're all intertwined

Does anyone know what is going up at right around 18th and Lamar? I drove by the other day and they were building something that was up to the third or fourth floor.

I was just driving by and didn't see the street but that is in the general vicinity somewhere between 15th and 20th.

It looks to be about 3 or 4 stories and it is probably topped out as seeing there is no crane on site.

The way it's being built I assume it will be a parking garage. Being built by Structura Inc a company I used to work for.
