Except that it's not. But thank you anyway.

And there it stands, (down in the pit)...I remember when the cranes first arrived on the Freedom Tower site.
There's more uncertainty about this one, but as long as they're working, its ok with me.

Looks like Silverstein is hedging his bets - a good idea. With the 10th anniversary coming up, the fervor surrounding the site may give him the funding and attention he needs.

I think the signing of tenants like Conde Nast next door will go a long way towards getting tenants for the other towers. Visible construction also won't hurt. So glad both cranes are finally on site.

Slightly off model, but once again shows this a fitting piece of the puzzle, central of the "big three"...

Yes, it's nice to see the cranes in place for Two Freedom Tower. It's my favorite of all the designs and I hope it goes up without pause.

Does the use of tower cranes instead of crawlers mean they're proceeding as if they're going to build a 1/4 mile high tower, even if it isn't 100% certain yet?
Or, they'd have to do it that way in any case?

They're building 2WTC exactly as it was designed. The question is whether or not they'll stop when they get to ground level.

Those are the cranes. 2WTC won't have any supercolumns. It will feature a central concrete core and normal perimeter columns spaced at 30 feet, much like 1, 3 & 7WTC

Obviously not ready yet, but if they're building full height then we should see DCM's jumping bases somewhere in the mix.

Nowhere near that. Lets hope we get some leasing activity on site and funding to get this tower up beyond sublevels.
