I like it. One side looks like an 80's office building (south), the next a sleek 00's office building (east), and the next the fancy front side that we've all been shown in the marketing materials (north/west).

What is the darker grey between the windows on the south side? Are they doing something to the concrete?!

I was thinking that the curved concrtee looks cleaner than it used to.
There do seem to be some lighter dots on the vertical concrete bits on the south side - but I can't tell if those are, say, brackets for attaching cladding - or just light reflections from a neighbouring building. It's too far away for the naked eye to see. So I guess if anyone is in the area, maybe have a look see.

The south side will depend on what happens to the SE corner. It may be a progression from all glass near the east corner, oversized grid in the middle and punched out windows on the back of the curved parts.

I hate it. Why did they do such a crappy job on the east and south facades? These are the sides most people in the city can actually see. I try and withhold judgment until a building is complete, but I can't see these elevations improving much.

I do wish they did a better job on the south side considering the architect is Jameson Foster. But I have to wonder if the "apparently abhorrent" south side was intended by the architect. Maybe people will like it in the future. What we might find tasteless and expendable today may be considered beautiful and treasured in the future.

I'm sure when people tore down the old Hotel Vancouver they didn't think it was worthy of keeping; I think we all wished it stayed now. As we speak the Chinese are tearing down their "ugly" historic hutongs to make way for bland modern appartments; I'm very sure they'll miss them in the future. And aren't we glad the Parisians didn't dismantle the "blight" that was the Eiffel Tower?

People's view of architecture will change in the future, that may or may not be favourable for Jameson's south side.

I'm just being open-minded here. But I will admit I do think the south side is pretty ugly... for now at least.

It looks like the Starbucks I'd heard was going into Jameson is actually going right beside it, in the vacated Hugo Boss location at the corner of W. Hastings and Howe.

Jameson's heritage fronts are looking quite nice. I wonder what will go in there.

Thanks for posting - don't think that agle has ever been posted before.
The north side has a concrete grid just like the south side (the south side is just messed up due to the structural concrete on the curved part)
