I think he's referring to the low-rise buildings surrounding the core. What he doesn't know is that it hasn't always been that way. OKC is the victim of a terrible spree of Urban Renewal. The buildings that used to inhabit downtown and the surrounding area are forever lost, and we've been left with what you see in those photos.

They should light it up red, er Sooner Crimson after OU football wins in Norman. Same for Thunder wins in OKC. The Nichols family and Devon are big OU and Thunder supporters.

I was wondering the same thing as photo. The way the LEDs are light up suggests it will be around the entire structure; if not running from the base all the way to the roof on certain walls

By the way, Vimeo is having HD issues so the quality of all videos aren't what they should be. They're "working with their technicians to fix it."

It's not my greatest photo but this is taken from about 5 miles NW of downtown OKC. For reference, the two wooden light poles in the center of the shot have the Devon Tower on the right side and the rest of downtown on the left side.

I could see this beauty passing through on my home to Wichita. What is the height supposed to be? I seemed to remember it was supposed to be over 900 feet and then was downsized a bit.
