Nenshi now up to 28%. It's been basically straight upwards for him, and down for McIver and Higgins.

It is tightening up.

I am surprised by the early Higgins numbers. I thought she would be third (a solid third, but third nonetheless)

There was mention that the first boxes counted were from old age homes.

Wow, if this election turns out to be a perfect reflection of his campaign I might not become unbelievably depressed and be the most obnoxious voice of pessimism on SSP for the rest of 2010...

I have never cared about a candidate for anything before. I've been engaged, I always vote and do research, but I have never had a campaign sign before this autumn; I have never donated a single cent to a political campaign before now, when I find myself with chalk under my fingernails because I drove all over NW Calgary in the middle of the night promoting in this awesome guy, Naheed Nenshi, who ran on ideas and a plan to tackle issues I care about.

I'm "gripping" right now too.

It was fairly well explained already, but thank god we don't have a party system in this city.

Nenshi's results will mimic his momentum in this election.

McIver takes the lead with a single vote! Nice. Nenshi still in third but closer. Quite the race.

McIver 33%
Nenshi 32%
Higgins 30%

The words "too close to call" better be coming out of every TV newscaster's mouth right now.

^^haha, she's Ralph Klein's tits forever in my mind now, that was the best thing I've read on SSP since Norman Foster, and that was a long time ago.
