If he is wearing it in support of Nenshi, then wow, that would be wild.

Interesting, but Darrel lives in High River.

Anyway, I spent the afternoon with Google Maps. Each ward has an individual map . Each poll will be coloured with the Mayoral winners colour.

Link to the group of maps: http://bit.ly/diQYCW

Crap....the CofC website doesn't breakdown the mayoral votes by poll on the website. I'll just colour the whole ward then.

TallDrinkofWater's inane, ridiculously conservative banter reminds me of some "retired" posters of yore...

We waited at least 1/2 hour in the line-up to vote in Ward 6. It was a bit disorganized, there were so many people showing up that the line-ups for the various name ranges blended together at times.

There was also some talk that the maps for Ward 6 were wrong and people were showing up at the wrong polling stations. Any idea which maps they were referring to?

Ward 6 Map http://bit.ly/943Ovx

Boundaries were changed with most wards. Wildwood, Rosscarrock and Westgate were moved to Ward 8 from Ward 6.

It was more along the lines of people from the Strathcona and Patterson/Coach Hill areas showing up at the Wentworth polling station, and vice versa.

I think that is a common problem across the city. At least with the Feds, you just had to look on the enumeration card (if you got one) as to where to vote.

Yep. I heard a few people complaining that they couldn't find their address on the online lookup site as well, which doesn't make things any easier for them.

You'd think that if the city could manage with ONE advance polling station, then tonight's action shouldn't matter.

But - I overestimate the power of computers (and people). Sigh.

Side note, Mr. McIver and some aldermanic candidates are taking liberties with how close their signs get to polling stations on election day. No tape measure but his signs were under 50 meters from the school.... but the polling station (gym) was on the other side of the school, more then 50 meters.... does that count?
Must be 50 meters from the building, unless on private property. I just came back from voting and got the supervisor go out with me and tear down a big ass sign from one of the public board candidates - Shazad Ashraf, I believe, but I'm so hungry right now I might not be remembering this right. She said that's the 2nd time today!

Just because he can't vote for him, doesn't mean he can't show support for Nenshi and give Barb a slight jab at the same time.

I really wonder what Barb's former co-workers really think about her.

Voted this evening. Wasn't the person that I thought I would be voting for at the beginning of the day.

CTV's on-air and on-line broadcast is now airing, Global's online is also airing.

CTV has Dr. Young from U of C as the political scientist on air tonight, Global has Duane Bratt and David Taras from MRU.
