My guess would be just south of that little bridge in the Arboretum across from the north most parking lot of Carleton.

That's what I figured. I've never been that far down the canal, though. Is that downtown in the background? It looks way closer than it should after looking at a map.

The lens they are using is probably telephoto.. it mashes the background (downtown) with the foreground so it looks closer than it is.

Just image if there was a 40 and 50 story tower in the picture, you would feel like you were downtown. Damn I want a signature tower now.

I had the same thought. That skyline could really use a marquee building to help us orient ourselves in these photos.

Why didn't they think of us poor internet picture viewers when they set those height limits?
