Apple, Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, Cineplex Odeon are all coming to Park Royal. The Village will be expanded into the parking fields between Marine Dr and the current parking structure. Parking structure to be put underground. This is probably more solid than just a "rumor" but I have no proof so it stays here.

Oh, and a market residential tower on the White Spot site.

Do you have any clue about the time line for all of this? Or is it still all kind of preliminary.

Larco has to deal with the natives and the municipality of west van for BPs. It won't take 5 years, but I wouldn't expect much in the next 6-12 months.

Oh wow, thats some interesting news!

The Village concept has been pretty good, Its getting popular around NA even more.

someone on another forum said their company is doing the foundations for crate & barrel and anthropolgie - so are they gonna be stand alone structures - sort of like the Shoppers Drug Mart they are adding or have added in the parking lot?

I was wondering why we didn't have an A&F store in Vancouver but it appears there could be one coming in Pacific Centre soon. Looks like construction has begun on Georgia and Granville.

A&F growth in US ha stalled so you can expect them to expand to vancouver soon enough, also as spongeG said that is not A&F its the kors store.

It would be pretty cool to see the renovation of the Rotunda turn into a A&F store with a nice street entrance.

Kors is going in the space currently U/C

There is a much better retailer likely going in the old rotunda space. A&F will be at Pac Centre though, it's just a matter of where.

Here's a big one. 2 600' towers, 1 million square feet of office space, around 4 million total space. Let the speculating begin.

^The Bay Parkade site is far too small to accommodate 4 Million sq ft, even 2 Million would be a stretch.

I know the site, the developer, the architect, and one of the clients involved but don't want to say too much. It's a rumour for a reason. What what I heard the ball is in the city's court now. No idea if prometheus is talking about the same site or whether he is poking fun at my rumour. Obviously this one will take a while if it happens. It looks like this could be a big win for the city or a big loss, and not because we would just lose out on getting something, we'd lose something we already have as well.

The latter. But if this is more than just a baseless rumour, then that's great.

But how do the developers expect to get their heretical plans past Vancouver's Council of Architectural Guardians & Overseers? These towers might interfere with a person's view of the middle half of the eastern part of the mountain that exists halfway between Cypress Mountain and Grouse Mountain when standing stationary at a certain point on the southern half of the west side of the Granville Bridge looking north on a sunny day.
