Precast doesn't look nearly as bad as painted concrete imo. It at least adds texture to a building because of the countless individual panels.

Cool - now maybe they'll put some cladding on the corner where that strip of windows in located.
Strange that they aren't finishing the concrete behind those window panels that are covering the bulky concrete transfer floor
- or maybe the ones above will be dark blue spandrel panels like the ones on the office block to the left.

Hadn't seen this render posted by Hed Kandi - it shows the biege/brown cladding facing Howe St. too.
Not that keen on that - I would have rather had it be gray stone/granite to match the gray blue glass, not the old hotel.

^wow sneaky.

I thought the building under construction in the front of this picture was the Gerogia, I just couldn't figure out the angle. I finally noticed the tiny sliver of a building in the background that is the Georgia.

Get back in your office, dweller!

That's akin the the "where's Waldo" type skyline pics that Urban Toronto forummers seem to continuously post in their construction threads.

Here are a couple of shots by me today showing the columns angling back in:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

You can see that the point where the facade pokes out the most on the Howe side is flush
with the adjacent non-angled section, whereas on the Georgia side, the angled facade pokes out further
than the adjacent non-angled section (i.e. the vertical trough)

Thanks for the photo. This project is not going to be a skyline changer but it will be a good addition.

^I disagree. It probably won't have the impact Shangri-La has had but I think it will most certainly be a skyline changer much the same way Wall Centre changed it. From this angle The Georgia will be about the same height as Scotia. Are you saying it won't stick out or be noticed? You're damn skippy it will!
