So when you guys say cladding will start on Oct 25 (sorry if that's wrong) does that mean they start putting up the curtain glass wall? Or do they go from top to bottom (which is the more logical) and start adding the concrete over the floors at the base?
It seems to me that if they start with the bottom concrete, then we won't see the glass curtain for at least another 1-2 months after cladding starts...

Depends on how you measure it. Weight wise, the lower third of the building is probably well over half the steel.

I'm not sure exactly how far down the foundation goes, but it's somewhere around 70'. So it would be about 554' (484' + 70') done compared to 1400' (1332' + 70') to the roof, or just shy of 40% finished. Around 36% if you're just counting from ground level. It also changes if you figure to the top of the parapet or communications ring instead.
My numbers are probably off a few feet, but not too far.

Just biked past and on West St. there were about 5 or 6 tractor trailers with huge steal beams loaded on the backs, so looks like today will be a busy one!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they used the same color stone (is it granite?) for the bottom of the reflecting pools as the sides. Those things are going to be very special.

The sides are granite, the bottom is concrete pavers. The granite is actually darker than the concrete, but when they are wet they look about the same.

Arround the area where the trees are do they need to build up the ground level and pour concrete walking areas?.
