Well, we have nothing to do but wait until the glass gets there (which really won't be long) . Then everyone can judge for themselves whether they approve or not, but the bottom line is its going to get done.

will they be leaving the base glass till last nyguy ? ino its prism glass but will it take longer to install or be the same as the rest of the building ?

We've seen the glass, its looks nothing like tower 7. Tower 7's glass is extremly wavy.

someone really needs to make the memorial U/c, as mostly people look and google earth, and think that its a giant hole in the ground, with two towers going up on opposite corners.

Yeah I was gonna say that too. The glass is really nice and looks impressive on the building. I'm sure 1WTC will have glass that's as good at 7WTC.

Hey Guys, I'm heading up that way in a few weeks. Is it worth the trip down to see the construction site? How far will the subway take you these days to go see it - is the subway the best way to get there?

Yes, worth it to see it. As far as the subway goes, most lines stop down there, and most trains will put you right in the area.

Definitely worth it.

Subway from where? From Midtown it would probably take you anywhere between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the route, train, etc. This is definitely the most hassle free way to get around the city.

well i am from the city. so to see tower 1v2 go to grand central then take the subway, and on the subway you can take the 4 train to fulton street and its right there or you can take the e train and it will bring you right next to the path station and the station is called world trade center. trust me i go there once a month to visit the site and tower 1v2

Dude he doesn't need to go all the way to Grand Central. All the lines that run through midtown pretty much head downtown. JAM it depends on where you are staying, but most lines will take you right downtown.

well thats how i go there from where i live now.

i call the building tower 1v2 because its not the original tower 1 and i want to keep the respect of the original name to the original tower1 so that i can honor my relative who died there on the 94th floor of the original tower 1. so thats why i call the new building Tower 1V2

Thanks guys! I just wasn't sure if they had fixed the subway lines, last time I got an opportunity to go down there the lines stopped short due to the damage and had to travel pretty far on foot to get there. I was working in Long Island in 2000 and early 2001 and use to go up to Windows on the World all the time, just for the view. OK, for a few beers too! Back then, we used to just hop out of the train right under the WTC. I'm looking forward to seeing all the progress and smelling the dirt!
