Larry Silverstein, developer of the World Trade Center site, sailed in to Vancouver on his yacht today.

Cool. I don't like the look of the two tone paint job though. Jet black would look better than the blue I think.

And now for something completely different...

I saw these art cars parked on Commercial Drive last week.

Well, each car sat alone at four different locations around south Vancouver for a couple months so it's not like they tow them around every day or anything.

I look forward to the day when prices in this city are driven so high that all of Vancouver's hippies are forced to relocate elsewhere.

would love to see them ticketed if they break the time limit. Most bylaws have a 24 hour time limit or so parking on a city street. However, it's not enforced unless residents are complaining in most places.

Note how close the license plates are in order to eachother too?

Your taxes will increase accordingly to pay for their house.

But I think those cars are actually kind of neat

Not sure it'll work that way, more rich people would live here, rich people have spoiled kids, who then become hippies/rebels against the same society that allowed them to flourish. It's a real catch 22.

On the bright side, rich foreigners kids are much less likely to be hippies than white peoples kids.
