Do you know of any preliminary or finalized lighting plans? I'm sure it will be lit with floodlights, but will they correspond to different occasions like the ESB?

What has been said about the lighting scheme is that while similar to the ESB, it will be lit differently, with a color scheme that could change instantly. Silverstein, however, has said his towers will have a blue lighting scheme.

I would imagine so. From what nyguy said it osunds that all the towers will normlly be lit in a light blue andwill have the ability to display a wide variety of colors for several occasions.Sounds good if you ask me

This print also shows the thickened slab under the spire and the slab opening in the center for all the wiring.

And the unmistakable base surrounded by cooling towers.

The square structure around the base is just to keep the hole in the roof out of the weather and give them a place to hang lights (the dashed lines and circles).

OK, I'm off to play with the girls in the pool and eat some american barbi.
Cool prints!

Probably the best lobby ive seen. I wish they could change the design so thereare at least some more natural light. But its toolate now probably. They say they made it bunker-like for bomb issues but youdont see any of the other proposed towers like that

Talking

I wouldn't be surprised if all of the lights installed at 1 WTC will be solely "LED." Then you can interchange between various colors easily.

this is the "Freedom Tower" the initial tower on the site, and the others really are less prone to attack. like in the original complex the main towers were the targets while the smaller were not. though even though they dont have bunker podiums they do go above all mandated safety codes in NY.

If I had to guess those prints are final. All the time and effort that they put into the plans was so they didn't need to make last minute changes. Why do you ask?

Work is supposed to be stopped at the entire WTC site for a few days.

Those other towers also don't stand next to a highway, which is the entire reason the Freedom Tower had to be redesigned and pushed back.
