Mmm, I'd view it like this: After the Canada line going to Richmond, the Evergreen line going to Coquitlam, the continued attention given to Vancouver ontop of the fact that they stole the buses intended for Surrey, as a transit person in Surrey I wouldn't be very impressed with a millennium line extension or translink in general considering how substandard service in Surrey is. That's ignoring the fact that as it is there wouldn't be a skytrain extension in Broadway *or* Surrey anytime soon given the clusterfk that is Translink itself.

I seriously wonder though how much Surrey gets out of translink versus how much they pay into it. I'm reminded of a quote from Watts here
"TransLink is like the mafia. You can get in, but you can't get out. And you have to keep paying."
