Yeah. It seems that's the new design. I actually like it more. The overall re-configuration is more appealing in my mind. Especially the giant exposed stairwell at 2nd & Guadalupe.

I like the design too. Not so sure about the black. Won't that suck up a lot of heat?

alright so if someone can give me a recap so i can come up to date with what has been going on with all the proposed buildings it would be great. i jump on the forum every now and then but don't keep up as much as i'd like to.

but i have noticed these forums have been quite slow lately. so what's the news on the 5th and congress building? is it dead? or howabout the other ones, 21c, 7 rio, the post office blocks where there were going to be like 2 other skyscrapers or something like that, seaholm as well.... i don't see any work being done around there as well. i did see some work being done on the green water treatment redevelopment. have they broken ground already or what's the deal?

I'd like to see the correct website. The one I'm going to shows only the copper facade. How many W Austin websites are there?

Yeah, block21residences.com is the official website for that particular project... Or at least for the residences, office, and ACL venue. Starwood website is really just for the hotel

Check out the traffic signal reflection above the W logo. I guess they need some clearance for the big rigs on Lavaca

The updated entrance facade doesn't look that bad. I'd like to see a wide shot as well.

Yeah, I got really excited when I saw that. So far both The Austonian, and The W (with a planned Urban Outfitters) have some great things going in the bottom

Some somewhat welcome traffic news. Mopac is going to be repainted over the rest of the week to remain at 3 lanes through downtown instead of dropping to 2 lanes at the Enflied exit.

This might actually make Mopac a viable option for Northbound traffic during rush hour and should substantially help with traffic flow through the area.

What about the southbound bottleneck?

Not that this helps in its favor, but here's the other side (facing 6th) from DAB. "Downtown Grille"....
