Yes. We've seen forum censorship in action. Methinks we have a moderator from Oklahoma City who couldn't stand to think that someone suggested a project like, oh, say 1 WTC, is more iconic and more exciting than the Devon Tower. Censorship on such a self-described liberal forum like this. How hypocritical.

Over the weekend, Tower Crane #1 made its first jump! Additionally the Construction elevator was delivered and is being installed.

They are quickly finishing up the first of the standard floors, which should then begin the faster pace of 8 days per floor.

We should really begin to see some dramatic impact to the skyline soon!

Excellent, just in time for when I will be down there for OU football games. Currently you can see the tops of the tallest downtown buildings from the upper deck of the stadium about 20 miles to the south-southeast. Devon should really be visible in the next few months, and would be a cool shot with the OU campus in the foreground.

Tough to tell how the glass and spandrel look. For those who have seen it is it similar to the glazing on EAP here in Calgary? both buildings were designed by the same Architect.

I think we need a closer shot to say, but this looks a little different. The groves of the frames on the cladding look smaller, similar color though

The mullion placement looks different, but the glass and spandrel look pretty similar. If that's the case Devon is going to look great, EAP captures the light very well, especially at sunset.

From what I'm reading, it is probably just a test panel, which seems probable.

They did the same thing with Nashville's Pinnacle at Symphony Place a few years back, hung a section up, in a weird spot on the building, then took it down.

Yeah, it is definitely a mock up, you can see they still have all the re-shoring in on all floors above grade.

Fibreoptics?! Wow, now that would be freaking cool. I miss the old Devon logo sign on the old building. The color changing sign was nifty. So if the whole building does that, spiforific!!!

OCU put some lights in the admin building and the gold star tower that rotate colors like that. So at christmas, it's red/green. Often it's blue for the campus colors, but it's neat to see them rotate around the rainbow.

For a while tower to do that....freaking cool!
