There are 35 units that remain unsold at the Ritz-Carlton. That's out of 95 total units in the tower. The Ritz has a better name and a MUCH safer location in which to market to Dallas' high end buyers. They've been marketing the Ritz for 3+ years now.

The W Hotel Residences are even in worse shape. There are numerous unsold units in that tower and many of the ones that did sell are presently leasing.

MUCH safer? They are 3 blocks from each other. The Museum Tower will have better views, be right next to the park, closer to rail(the residents are likely Bently drivers, hehe), right in the Arts District. I don't get why its being built either, but the group funding it has a rock solid record with its investments. They likely know something we don't good or bad. Could be looking to sell it for profit. Who knows.

I am so glad to see this finally start under construction. I have seen so many projects get canceled that I was afraid that this one was going to suffer a similar fate. Great news for Dallas and will be a solid addition to the strength of the arts district! Fantastic News! It will be fun to follow!

Actually, more like a taller version of the AZURE condos in Uptown, Dallas, built a few years ago.

It actually does. Museum Tower obviously being more slimmer and sleeker.

460-ft is wrong; The official height is 560-ft to the roof, although I did the math some floors will be higher from floor to ceiling than others, I think it will actually be more like 580-ft including the glass walls rising above the roof.

540' to the roof and probably 560' to the top.

Nice shot! This would be a great angle and perspective for a Construction Camera. Does anyone know if there is one that is intended to be made available to the public who are interested in following this tower's development and construction progress?

I hope so as it is a great way to allow people to gain a great interest in the cities development and learn about the construction process.

Plus I am a construction junkie and would love to have another tower to follow!

The website is for the new "Central Park" like urban deck park being constructed over Woodall Rogers Freeway, immediately at the doorstep to Museum Tower.

The webcam camera is pointed in the direction of Museum Tower's construction site, so you can see that activity occurring as well.

Just click on "Live Web Cam" on the homepage. I was just watching the heavy equipment digging the hole for the new 42 story tower!
