They don't mention it. All they mention is that the glass would be made by a Chinese company what else is new.

Good things come to those who wait.

We should see all that is asked for before years end, fireproffing, glass, 20 more floors.

The great, endless wait is over and this tower is on it's way up.

Conde Nast, Port Authority reach deal for media giant's move to Freedom Tower

By Douglas Feiden
August 3rd 2010

Quote:
Conde Nast and the Port Authority have reached tentative terms on a deal that could make the media giant the largest tenant in the Freedom Tower, sources tell the Daily News.

The Times Square-based publisher of Vanity Fair, the New Yorker and Vogue would take as much as 1 million square feet of the 2.6 million-square-foot tower if the negotiations lead to a final pact, one insider said.

That's up to 25 floors in the 1,776-foot, $3.1 billion building at Ground Zero, officially known as 1 World Trade Center, that would be occupied by the company's glamorous employees by its scheduled opening in early 2014.

Actually, the glass and fabrication will be all AMERICAN!

Benson Industries of Portland, Oregon, who was recently awarded the curtain wall contract for the World Trade Center Tower One, has named Viracon, Inc. of Owatonna, Minnesota as their glass supplier for the project.

I'm trying to remember. Was there a "completion" date originally in 2002 that called for the entire project to be done before 2010?.

I wish I were moderator of this thread for just one day! I would delete all comments about how long this is taking, completion dates and EVERYTHING not related to the CONSTRUCTION of One World Trade Center. It is simply amazing to me that people are still complaining about the pace of construction when they can clearly see (or perhaps not???) progress being made. The memorial is on schedule for completion. 1WTC is at the 32nd (???) story and growing on a weekly basis.

Maybe a separate thread should be established for those who just want to do nothing but complain??? As for me? I'm going to sit back, enjoy the progress being made, look forward to the newest pictures to be posted of what will (in just a few more short years) be our Country's tallest skyscraper upon completion. That, to me, is REAL progress and something (as an American Citizen) I can take tremendous pride in!

I agree with you buddy, the workers are on a very well pace. Any faster and the building would be full of flaws. People, its quality over quantity

Update from webcam at wtcprogress.com:

What is that silver thing at the facade here?
