They've finished one corner of the climbing scaffold and removed the scaffolding they used to build it. It's quite an amazing structure when you see it in person. It will look incredible sliding up the side of FCP.

The slinky thing that goes up and down the tower has been exposed with the removal of the scaffolding... here we go boys and girls!!!
Walking to work this morning, I was delighted to see that they have raised a portion of the platform about halfway up the building. Pics are below (sorry for the crappy quality - they were taken on my blackberry).

Personally I find this reclad fascinating for the technical aspects as well as the sheer scope and scale of the operation. I look forward to more updates in this thread.
Ok, guy, ur question was not that stupid.., even the great caltrane at first had difficulty understanding how this contraption worked.
To be brief there are pullies on the roof of the tower that are raising and lowering the platform alongside the building... In the pictures of the roof, you can see them extending over the sides of the wall...
I woke up this morning to find that the FCP scaffold wrap was completed sometime during the night or early this morning. This is the north side of the building

Hey guys, I know is my first post but I think I may be able to answer some questions about the SEP (suspended elevated platform) if anybody has any. It was designed and engineered in NY by Atlantic Hoisting and Scaffolding. It's an amazing structure and now that the whole thing is complete, it makes for an amazing sight.
