Just showing off some of New England's scenery from my recent hikes. Feel free to contribute with your own photos!
Mount Monadnock, NH April 2010
Due to its proximity to Boston and great 360 degree views from the top, this is one of the most hiked mountains in the world. It's also typically my warm-up hike because of the snow melting sooner here than on the northern, higher peaks. The summit is 3165'. Pictures taken from the top.
While only about 2700' to the summit, the real draw on this is Lake Solitude, a small lake at 2500' with a cliff view overlooking it. The end of the hike leads to the ski trails, with the man-made snow still coating part of the mountain and great views of Lake Sunapee and beyond.

Great Meadows Wildlife Reserve, Concord MA. May 2010
Known for its wildlife, especially the red-winged blackbird, this reserve by the Concord River includes a path bisecting a lake, and multiple trails in the woods. Not exactly a "hike" but, what can you do?
Much live in these "woods".

Let's have a rest and bid goodbye to Great Meadows.
Located just northwest of the lakes region in NH, these 2 peaks, while each barely over 2200', offer excellent cliff views over Lake Squam and (possibly?) Lake Winnepesaukee beyond.
Looking down towards the top of a cave I climbed through. It was quite... unpleasant.
Excellent photos! Having spent a great deal of time in both the Southern Appalachians and the Northern Rockies, I'm always intrigued at how much New England's mountain region looks like something of a cross between the two -- the White Mountains in particular.
