Destination retail on the east end of Robson would be great.

WRT Oxford - I think someone (Phesto?) mentioned an office tower on Howe at Nelson some time ago - that could be the one.

Howe and Nelson is Manulife.

Mention of an Oxford office tower would likely be in reference either to their University Club site (which is and will continue to be problematic for making office work given the small site sizes) or more likely they have acquired a new site downtown...

Yes! Please! I can't wait for the day when the whole street is busy, and past Granville doesn't close down at 5PM and on weekends.

But hopefully actually having people there doesn't cause the rents to go up, and some of the restaurants I really like to have to move

there isn't any mulit floor st really on robson for Forever 21 to go but across from the VPL

the only other place I can think of is if they converted the old white spot above lush etc and took over one of the street level stores as well...

but its rumoured to open this summer so its gott get going soon to meet that deadline

Agreed. I've always felt that the streetscape on Robson at the Telus building is the street killer. The walk along that block 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 the life out of you... and the adjacent employee surface parking lot @ Richards needs to self-implode. Someday... hopefully before I die of old age.

The tenant Blanche MacDonald across the street isn't helping either.

This summer rules out the redevelopment that someone suggested for the Robson Galleria - so Atelier is probably it.

The problem with that end of Robson is that you are walking along the short ends of the blocks.
Most retail strips in the city are along the long sides of blocks (Granville, Robson or Davie west of Burrard).

IGA and homesense have really drawn more people that way albeit an older demographic - forever 21 will draw the younger set and they will be happy cause its more out of the way and maybe people won't know about it - there were a lot of pissed off girls when they heard it was opening in metrotown cause now EVERYONE will be wearing Forever 21 - lol

I love how everytime we chat about something on here like Forever 21 rumoured stores to the Apple Store rumour that I then found out was the Richmond Centre one with the craigslist ad, it is immediatly posted on Vancitybuzz right after the discussion. Haha.

Is Vancitybuzz's writer on here? Im pretty sure he is!

Oh I had an idea, for the Apple Flagship why not build it on that empty lot at Robson and Broughton, sure it's a bit futher down but hey it could work.

Also the idea of putting forever 21 where the whitespot/sushi place was is a pretty nice one.
