I thought the first tower was already 65% sold out.. at a bare minimum. Will have to do some follow up I guess.

U condos will be very interesting/a change from what i'm used to.. I'm to used to seeing a really big parking lot with lots of trees on the site (with the little U condos presentation center on one end), The area is so peaceful that i can't imagine 2 or more construction cranes on the site with towers that will be freakin huge!!!.. Awesome

U Condos, Burano, Aura, One Bloor, The St Joesph project and Four Seasons will be the new Anchors for a refined classy and tall Yorkville-Midtown skyline. The tallest skyline in Canada outside of the CBD.

Is the st joeseph project u condos?

Right you are caltrane! But i think once these towers are built, we can include toronto's skyline as one because it will FINALLY be balanced! there's no need to separate the rest of the skyline from the CBD anymore (well, sorta.. the cbd still dominates quite a bit )

I like the CHi Chi - Poo POo of the Yorkville Skyline though...

And I'm glad that it's soo tall.... If it were it's own skyline it would still be the tallest skyline in the country after Aura is completed. If you include Aura in it's skyline. Aura can go both ways.. cause it's right in between Yorkville and The Financial District.

Yorkville still has nothing on North York Centre or suburban skylines like Burnaby or Mississauga. (when viewed from the city)

Agreed, a couple of tall towers don't make a skyline. Right now my favs in yorkville & area are U, Burano and Cumberland (crosses fingers for the latter). I hope Aura gets put on hold and redesigned, cuz it looks hideous and cheap, like Q1 in Brisbane but boxy.

Also, please define "Chi chi poo poo"... sounds like dog — right now.

Yorkville has the tallest skyline. FACT.

Chi Chi Poo Poo, the excrement droppings of the mini dogs, running in Yorkville.

He means that Yorkville has the tallest skyline of Mississauga, North York or Metrotown.

Which is true.

My 2c... I dont know if I would classify Aura as Yorkville... imo Yorkville doesnt extend more than a few blocks south of Bloor, but of course the boundaries are not clearly defined at any level. For me Aura is kinda in no mans land between Yorkville and Downtown.

Exactly!! ( couldn't have said it better myself. ) - You read my mind.

on a side note.....

Of course, if One Bloor, gets its 5 extra stories. It will have the tallest, skyline outside of the CBD anywhere. So lets see what happens, in this regard.

Its interesting how we're comparing a downtown to a suburb (it just shows how big suburbs can get!)... excitin stuff but i will agree that yorkville does have the denser/taller skyline (undoubtably)...

But i don;t think its fair to be comparing a suburb to a city .. its beyond —

***Though NYCC WILL have a taller skyscraper than manulife which is Hullmark (it will be built before 1bloor)

Caltrane, that's a great shot. Amazingly the best is yet to come for the Yorkville skyline. The tallest in that photo is currently Manulife at 163 metres, but over the next few years the following will be added:

One Bloor - 218.6 m (sales)
Four Seasons - 204 m (U/C)
U Condos I - 184 m (sales)
Cumberland Terrace - 163.2 m (proposed)
Uptown - 160 m (U/C - several floors to go)
U Condos II - 154 m (sales)
X2 - ~150 m (sales)
FIVE - 147 m (sales)
Couture - 126 m (U/C)

One thing yorkville rocks at is that it is SOOO evenly balanced!... 1 bloor (or uptown for now) will be the center of this skyline.. and its like a mountain, gradually working its way up! (four seasons kinda throws it off though)

So much potential... and cumberland terrace will probably be one of the better additions to this view!.. wait a minute... EVERYTHING will be awesome in this view!... U condos, fs, etc.... they're all awesome!

I saw IronMan 2 last night, on free popcorn tuesday, and when I saw Monaco, I was like, that is how Yorkville needs to be... just something with lots of class. But more chi chi, and much, much taller buildings than Monaco.
